The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is reportedly planning to build a world-class Golf City in Sector 22F, close to the upcoming greenfield international airport in Jewar, the Hindustan Times reported.
Spread across 650 acres, the project will feature a championship-level golf course alongside select residential, commercial, and institutional facilities.
Global consultancy Ernst & Young has been appointed to prepare the feasibility and detailed project report (DPR).
“The project is part of Yeida’s Master Plan 2041, which will be developed in line with green infrastructure and recreational concepts. The authority aims to establish a Golf City in Sector 22F. We have engaged an agency to prepare the feasibility report for this project,” Shailendra Bhatia, officer on special duty, YEIDA, was quoted as saying by HT.
Golf City will reportedly be one of the first major recreational projects under the plan. Its design will include sports clubs, pro-shops, training centres, swimming pools, hostels, restaurants, and multipurpose halls.
Residential options for players, trainers, and students are also under consideration.

Yeida’s Master Plan 2041 aims to create an eco-city with green belts, landscaped spaces, and recreational hubs. Of the total urbanisable area, 5,544.27 hectares (14.77 per cent) are earmarked for green use, including parks, playgrounds, and open-air sports areas.
“Through these measures, we aim to offer diverse outdoor activities for all age groups, enhance quality of life, and foster a vibrant community,” a Yeida official said, as quoted by the Hindustan Times.
Beyond Golf City, Sectors 22 and 23 may be developed into a larger recreational zone.
Plans include an Olympic City with sports complexes and training centres, as well as an Olympic Village to host athletes and provide residential facilities, positioning the area as a future global sports and leisure hub.
