Yogi Adityanath To Inaugurate World’s First Ramayana-Themed Wax Museum During Deepotsav In Ayodhya

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate the world’s first Ramayana-themed wax museum during the ninth Deepotsav celebration, the Chief Minister’s office announced in a press release on Thursday (16 October).

Following the grand completion of the Ram Temple in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, this new attraction promises to offer devotees and tourists an immersive spiritual and cultural experience, reported The Times Of India.

Located on the Chaudah Kosi Parikrama route, opposite Kashiram Colony, the 9,850 sq ft, air-conditioned museum was built at a cost of Rs 6 crore.

It showcases 50 lifelike wax statues depicting key characters from the Ramayana, including Lord Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Hanuman, Ravana, and Vibhishan.

The museum limits entry to 100 visitors at a time to maintain a quality experience.

Designed in a South Indian architectural style, the two-story museum brings the epic to life.

The ground floor illustrates Ram Lalla’s childhood and Mata Sita’s swayamvar, while the first floor portrays the exile, Lanka Dahan, and the climactic war.

Lighting effects highlight dramatic scenes such as Sita’s abduction and Hanuman burning Lanka, while the fragrance of Treta Yuga and chants of the Ram Tarak Mantra enhance the spiritual atmosphere.

The museum features four emergency exits, CCTV surveillance, and 24×7 security.

Visitors can enjoy parking, a coffee studio, a snack zone, and South and North Indian cuisine.

Twelve percent of the revenue will support the Municipal Corporation, contributing to Ayodhya’s development. Tickets are priced at Rs 100.
