In his first reaction to the two alleged audio tapes of Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan, in which the voice could be heard speaking about the wealth of Udhayanidhi Stalin and Sabareesan, Chief Minister MK Stalin has said, “He (PTR) himself has given two detailed explanations on this matter. I have time only to do my duty for people. I do not want to talk anything further on this and give publicity to those indulging in cheap politics.”

He made the remarks during his 'Ungalil Oruvan' programme, which is styled in a question-answer format.

Earlier, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) spokesperson, TKS Elangovan said that the party would not file a case regarding the audio tapes because it is a private matter of the minister.

Thiagarajan has called the audios deep fakes made using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
