Fire Breaks Out In Endoscopy Room At AIIMS Delhi, Patients And Staff Safely Evacuated

A fire broke out Monday (7 August) in the endoscopy room, situated near the emergency ward, at AIIMS Delhi.
Immediate action was taken, with eight fire tenders rushing to the scene and successfully bringing the fire under control.
Following a fire call from the emergency ward at 11.54 pm, all patients and staff in the surrounding area were safely evacuated.
AIIMS provided an update stating, "The fire is under control. The Director has also reached the spot to take stock of the situation."
The endoscopy room, located on the second floor of the Old Outpatient Department (OPD), was the site of the incident.
"The fire broke out on the second floor of the Old Raj Kumari OPD Building. It was brought under control by firefighters, but the search operation is still ongoing," the Fire Department said.
