Speaking at the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit in Dehradun on Friday (8 December), Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the people of the country that India will be among the top three economies of the world in his third term.
India is headed for general parliamentary elections in the summer of 2024 and if BJP secures a third term, it will last till 2029. Notably, S&P recently estimated that India will be the third-largest economy by 2030.
Modi explained, "Stable government, supportive policies, mentality of transformation through reforms and confidence to develop is an unprecedented combination. This time is of India."
He asked the investors to contribute to Uttarakhand's development and benefit themselves. He said that now the hill state will be able to give employment to its youth.
Modi also asked billionaires in the country to start 'Wed in India' movement just like 'Make in India', so that destination weddings can contribute to infrastructure development.
