Indian Aspirations At Its Highest In 1,000 Years: PM Modi In Central Hall Of Old Parliament Building

After addresses by Leaders of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury respectively and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the Central Hall of Parliament's old building on Tuesday (19 September).
Modi recalled various landmark judgments that the parliament witnessed and then talked about the future. While pointing out that aspirations of Indians are at its highest in 1,000 years, he called on people to work for a larger canvass.
He acknowledged that due to 1,000 years of enslavement, Indian aspirations could not be fulfilled but the time has come now for their fulfillment. He also expressed confidence that India will soon be among top three economies of the world.
Modi said that the focus should not be on dal (party), but dil (heart) that works for the country. The PM highlighted the importance of manufacturing sector and urged to work for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
While appreciating India's recent achievements in the field of sports, he expressed that he wants to see Indian youths way ahead and urged them for skill development.
