BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who complained to the Lok Sabha speaker regarding cash-for-query allegations against TMC MP Mahua Moitra, launched fresh attacks on her on Friday (3 November).
Pointing towards an effort by Congress MP Uttam Reddy to defend Mahua Moitra in the media, Dubey wrote on X, "Reddy misled the nation by defending Mahua (the accused MP) without any knowledge."
Notably, Reddy was one of the opposition MPs who walked out of the Ethics Committee meeting and said that he did not hear any unparliamentary language from Moitra, as the committee alleged.
Dubey raised four questions mentioning that while the OTP came to ask questions, when the portal opened, "Did you receive the bill two days before its presentation in Parliament or not without OTP?:"
Mentioning that Moitra is a member of the IT standing committee "in which Hiranandani has an interest", he questioned "Were all his confidential documents received without OTP or not?"
A similar question was raised for the Health Department's confidential papers, as Moitra is its member as well. Lastly, he asked whether the confidential paper of the Joint Committee of Data Protection is also available on this portal or not.
Alleging corruption to sell national security, Dubey said, "Yahan to poori daal hi kaali hai (Here everything is a scam)".
