Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioned Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's absence at a government event where he dedicated development projects worth Rs 5,000 crore during his public address at Jodhpur on Thursday (5 October).
"It was a government event but the CM was absent. He was absent because he trusted that Modi would manage everything. I also want to tell him, take rest, we will manage everything," the PM's statement was followed by chants of "Modi, Modi".
"Congress government didn't even take a step. It was involved 24 hours in the struggle for the chair. Have you all heard about the red diary? People say that the red diary has all the details about Congress' corruption," Modi targeted the state government.
"Do you want to reveal the contents of the red diary? Should everything come out in the open? Should corrupts be punished? Will the Congress government let the secrets of the red diary be made public? If you want to know the truth, bring BJP government," the PM highlighted the need for a BJP government.
Targeting the Gehlot government for paper leaks, Modi said, "Rajasthan youth seeks justice. They promised unemployment allowance but put the youth under the bus of paper leak mafias. BJP government will take strict action against these paper leak mafias."
He alleged that the Congress loves its vote bank more than the investments for the state. "When Jodhpur was burning during riots, what was the CM doing? When innocent people were being killed, what were Congress leaders doing?," he questioned.
