In a significant development, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Rajasthan, Umesh Mishra, constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe into the murder case of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the national president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. The SIT will work under ADG Crime Dinesh MN.
The police have made notable progress in identifying the individuals involved in the crime. Two accused, namely Rohit Rathore Makrana and Nitin Fauji, have been officially named by the authorities in connection with the murder.
DGP Mishra, emphasising the urgency of the investigation, has announced a substantial reward of Rs 5 Lakhs for each of the accused's arrests. This move aims to encourage the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the apprehension of the two accused.
Gogamedi was attacked with gunfire at his residence in the Shyam Nagar area of Jaipur. Subsequently, he was rushed to Metro MAS Hospital, where he was declared dead.
