The suspension of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP, Raghav Chadha, was lifted on Monday (4 December) by Rajya Sabha Chairman, Jagdeep Dhankhar, following a motion initiated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, GVL Narasimha Rao.

The BJP MP in the Rajya Sabha suggested that the suspension endured by the AAP MP to date should be deemed as "sufficient punishment". He proposed that the House might contemplate ending the suspension of Raghav Chadha from today.

Raghav Chadha, an MP from AAP, responded to the lifting of his parliamentary suspension. He expressed his joy over the decision and extended his gratitude to both the Supreme Court and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.

In a video message, he said, "After the interference of the Supreme Court, my suspension was revoked. For almost 115 days, I was suspended and I couldn't raise questions in the House during this period."
