Former minister and Ramanathapuram MP, Anwar Raja, rejoined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) today (4 August) in the presence of general secretary Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS).
Other important leaders of the party such as D Jayakumar, KA Sengottaiyan, SP Velumani, P Thangamani and KP Munusamy were among those present.
He had been expelled from the party in November 2021 because he had called for the re-induction of VK Sasikala into the party.
Raja has been critical of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and had previously stated that the AIADMK's alliance with the BJP had made it lose the minority vote.
