Grave Implications!

Dear Reader,

The BJP and the Sangh are relishing the unprecedented mandate scored in Maharashtra, and rightly so.

But the loss in Jharkhand, a state that might seem less significant electorally, and its larger implications on National Security should worry the BJP and the country.

The Santhal Pargana, predominantly tribal, in Jharkhand holds strategic significance for India’s national security. Long before illegal immigration changed things, Seemanchal had a considerable tribal population. Now only a few thousands of still live there.

Kishanganj in Santhal Pargana is now a Muslim-majority district with almost 68 per cent of its population Muslim. Most of these Muslims are not Indians. Their forefathers can be traced back to Bangladesh.

“According to intelligence agencies, there is a conspiracy to create a country called 'Banglastan' by combining large parts of Jharkhand (Santhal dominated areas), Kishanganj district of Bihar, West Bengal, most of the north eastern states, Nepal and some parts of Myanmar,” BJP's Babulal Marandi had posted on X.

'The Chicken's Neck' too is at risk. As one of the most crucial spots for India's national security, it connects all of the northeastern states to mainland India. Located 100 kms from Kishanganj, it also acts as a gateway to East Asia.

With the patronage of Mamata government in Bengal and now INDI bloc's victory in Jharkhand, the illegal migration will only increase. The pace of demographic change is threatening the tribal identity of these areas.
