What if I told you Ladakh is helping India prepare for life on the Moon & Mars?

In November 2024, a 21-day secretive "space analogue mission" tested how humans could survive on the Moon or Mars.

A self-sustaining, inflatable habitat—powered by solar energy and equipped with hydroponics—became home to an analogue astronaut cut off from the world.

This experiment is part of India’s bigger plans: a space station by 2035, a Moon landing by 2040.

Could this be the first step towards an Indian lunar base? Could Ladakh be the training ground for India's future spacefarers?
