With less than a week to go for the first phase of polls
Dear reader,
I'm in Tamil Nadu, writing to wish you a happy new year from all of us at Swarajya. But often, the celebrations on this day tend to get caught up in controversies.
In the state, whenever the DMK comes into power, they have a habit of wanting to get rid of anything related to Indic culture, no matter how small or big.
They keep trying to change our traditional new year date, but that's about it. People still follow the tradition like they always have, for thousands of years.
This Sunday morning, while there's already news of manifestos, nomination filings and postal ballots, we're writing to tell you about the topics and areas we are covering that we believe deserve your attention.
In our project covering the election season on the ground, we've already covered around twelve different themes and constituencies over the past couple of weeks. Here are a few of them:
From Bengal: Modi Government Ended Their Woes By Making Them Indians, But Trinamool Regime Has Kept Them In Misery
Four Months Of PM JANMAN: A Close Look At Its Impact On UP's Bhoksa Tribe
What Has Changed For Tea Garden Workers In Assam In Last 10 Years
Dust And Debates In Pilibhit: Local Opinion Divided Over Varun Gandhi, United On Modi-Yogi
Will Annamalai Win In Coimbatore?
Hridayapath: A travel through India's Most Obscure Villages
This is just our most recent coverage. We hope you like the way we bring you our reports.
And before you leave, please consider supporting us. Every story matters, and every contribution helps paint an accurate picture of India. It only takes less than two minutes to do so here.
If you've already contributed, we sincerely thank you once again. Be assured, our top team members will keep covering the stories that truly matter.
Raghu
