The counting has begun and early trends have started pouring in. It appears that predicting Indian elections is as tricky as predicting Indian monsoons.

As I write this mail, the BJP is leading on 47 seats in Haryana. This is opposite to what every pollster and observer had been predicting for the state. As for J&K, NC-Congress looks set to form the government.
