On Thursday (23 November), Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of sidelining Sachin Pilot, a Gurjar community leader, and son of late Congress leader Rajesh Pilot, likening it to the removal of a fly from milk.

PM Modi stated, “A Gurjar son struggles to make his space in politics, gives his life to the party and after coming to power, the royal family removes him like a fly in milk”.

Modi's comments came during a rally in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, where he claimed that the Gurjar community, which played a role in bringing the Congress to power in Eastern Rajasthan, was now being insulted by the party.

The Prime Minister asserted that Sachin Pilot, who lost his positions as state Congress president and deputy chief minister for rebelling against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was treated similarly to his father Rajesh Pilot.

Modi criticised the Congress for allegedly punishing those who speak the truth within the party, noting that this was not the first instance of such actions.

In addition to addressing the political dynamics, Modi criticised the Congress-led government in Rajasthan, labeling it as the most "anti-women" regime the state has ever witnessed.

These remarks followed a previous statement where Modi accused the Congress of mistreating Sachin Pilot, emphasising a pattern of sidelining individuals within the party who voice dissent.
