Swapna Suresh dares CPIM leaders to file a defamation case against her.

Swapna Suresh, who is one of the the key accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case, has dared former Left Democratic Front (LDF) ministers Thomas Isaac, Kadakampally Surendran and former Kerala Assembly speaker P Sreeramakrishnan to file a defamation case against her.

Few days back, while speaking to a television channel, Swapna Suresh had alleged that these ministers and the former speaker had sought sexual favours from her.

CPI(M) General Secretary M V Govindan said that the party does not care about Swapna’s allegations as she has lost credibility.

The ministers named by Suresh also initially chose to ignore her statements. However, they later denied the allegations.

Surendran said, "It's been more than two years since she first raised several allegations and till the other day, my name was not there, but now it has come. This is a political move against me. I will speak to our party officials and then take appropriate steps against this."

Suresh had last week termed Surendran as a “frustrated person who had invited her to a hotel room”.

Sreeramakrishnan put out a lengthy Facebook post dismissing her claims and called her a tool of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that he had become the victim of a media trial.

To this, Swapna Suresh reacted by putting out a post on Facebook with pictures of Sreeramakrishnan that she claimed to be sent by him or taken by her during her visits to his office and residence.

In her post, she challenged him to file a defamation case so that she could submit more incriminating evidence to the court.
