Punjab Assembly Election Results: As Per Early Trends, AAP Crosses Majority Mark

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has crossed the majority mark in Punjab and is currently leading in 79 seats according to the early trends of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The incumbent Congress is ahead in only 16 seats currently whereas the BJP has gained an advantage in 3 constituencies so far.
The Shiromani Akali Dal and the BSP, who are in a pre-poll alliance, are collectively leading in 8 seats.
Early trends for are out for 107 of the total 117 seats in Punjab.
Bhagwat Mann, AAP’s chief ministerial (CM) candidate for the border state, is leading from his Dhuri constituency by a margin of 4387 votes.
Meanwhile, Captain Amarinder Singh is trailing from Patiala as per the latest trends. Ajit Pal Singh Kohli from the AAP is leading by 5864 votes from his high-profile constituency.
