Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and prayed to Baba Mahakal for abundant rains in the state.
In Ujjain, Chief Minister Chouhan said, "This is my prayer to Baba Mahakal that he should free us from the crisis that has occurred on the farmers and crops of the state due to less rainfall and shower his blessings. The people of the state should also pray to God for good rains."
Chouhan added "I assure all the people of the state that in this time of crisis, I will leave no stone unturned to serve the farmer brothers."
The Chief Minister in a post on X expressed, "I have full faith that Devadhidev Mahadev will definitely get us out of this crisis. Lord, please continue to shower your blessings on everyone, I wish that everyone should be happy, everyone should be healthy."
The Chief Minister also appealed to the citizens and requested them not to use unnecessary electricity, so that it could be supplied everywhere.
A Maharudrabhishek ritual was also being performed in the Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple on the first Monday of the month of Bhadau with prayer of rains to return back to the state.
