Watch: A Karnataka Shop Where All Employees Converse In Sanskrit, Teach The Classical Language On Marketing Trips

A video going viral on social media melted the heart of viewers wherein the classical language Sanskrit was being spoken by all the employees at a garment shop in Karnataka’s Bijapur.
The video shows the shop 3R Garments in Bijapur where all the employees introduce themselves in Sanskrit. The poster also claims that when they go out for marketing, they also conduct Sanskrit teaching classes.
Reinvigorating the classical languages of India has caught increasing attention in recent times. Even as the number of MPs who took their oath in English in the 17th Lok Sabha has seen a massive decline from 114 in 2014 to 54, Sanskrit emerged as the third most popular language for officially being sworn in the lower house of Parliament.
Aiming at the revival and conservation of the heritage of Indic languages, the Human Resource Development Ministry is planning to establish at least two Sanskrit-speaking villages near the central institutes promoting and preserving the language. Recently, in a bid to promote Sanskrit language, Uttar Pradesh government decided to issue its press releases in Sanskrit along with English, Hindi and Urdu.
