Aiming at addressing requirements arising out of fast-growing domestic and international aviation mobility in the country, a high level review meeting was held on Saturday (15 July).
Reviewing the facilities and infrastructure for major airports, the meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Directions were given to develop and provide standards for quick, safe, and convenient travel experience of the travelers.
Ministries of Home Affairs and Civil Aviation, along with other agencies, have embarked upon a series of steps towards expanding and enhancing the facilities and infrastructure at major airports.
Union Home Affairs secretary and other top officials of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Intelligence Bureau, Bureau of Immigration, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Central Industrial Security Force and Airport Authority of India attended the meeting.
