The winners of the 64th National Film Awards have been announced. Chairperson Priyadarshan and members of the jury addressed the media today, announcing the winners in different categories.
Here's the list of winners:
Best Hindi Film: Ram Madhvani's Neerja
Best Feature Film: Kaasav (Marathi)
Best Special effects: Shivaay
Best Editing: Marathi film Ventilator
Best Actor: Akshay Kumar for Rustom
Best Actress: Surbhi for Minaminungu (Malayalam film)
Best Supporting Actress: Zaira Wasim for Dangal
Best film on social issue: Pink.
Best child film: Dhanak
Best Productions design: Tamil film 24
Special mentions: Feature films - Karwi Hawa, Mukti Bhawan and actors - Adil Hussain for 3 films and Sonam Kapoor for Neerja
Filmmaker Priyadarshan was the chairperson of the jury in feature films category, while nationally acclaimed cinematographer and a writer Raju Misra was the chairperson in non-feature category.
