After senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut attacked actor Sonu Sood yesterday (7 June) asserting that the latter was helping the migrant workers return to their home States at the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the actor called on Maharashtra's Chief Minister (CM) Uddhav Thackeray at his residence Matoshree, reports news agency ANI.
The move by Sood came even as Raut had said that soon enough the former would be going to Delhi and meeting with Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.
The meeting between Sood and CM Thackeray was also attended by the latter's son and State Minister Aaditya Thackeray.
After the meeting, Sood underscored that there existed no misunderstanding between him and the Shiv Sena. He said, "There is no misunderstanding, everything is fine. Everyone is supporting us. Everyone wants to do good for the country and we are there for them."
Sood further added, "We have to support all the people who are suffering and need us. I will continue until the last migrant has reached his own home. Every party from Kashmir to Kanyakumari has supported and I want to thank everyone for that."

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
