President Donald Trump of the United States (US) of America claimed on Tuesday (29 October) that the American forces had successfully killed the 'number one' replacement of slain supremo of the Islamic State (IS) terror outfit, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, reports Livemint.

The death of Baghdadi's right-hand man and spokesperson Abu Hassan al-Muhajir comes a day after the US President had informed the world about the successful kill of the IS supremo on Monday.

However, it should be noted that the news about the death of Muhajir was broken to the world by a top Kurdish commander, Mazloum Abdi, who said that the termination of Muhajir happened in a separate raid than the one conducted to kill Baghdadi, in the village of Ain Al-Bayda.

Abdi also said that the operation to bring down Muhajir was a joint and coordinated effort of the Kurdish led SDF's intelligence unit and the US Armed forces. It should be noted that Abdi has also claimed that the SDF provided crucial intelligence to the US about Baghdadi's whereabouts as well.
