Hyderabad Metro officials claim that the work on Nagole-HiTec City Corridor will be finished by December, reports Times of India (TOI).
While civil works between the Ameerpet and HiTec City Metro stations have been completed, signalling works are being carried out beyond Cyber Towers up to Trident Hotel, said Metro Rail officials. They added that a train reversal facility is being created beyond the HiTec City Metro station for the Nagole-HiTec City corridor.
According to the officials, high frequency of one train every 3.5 minutes will be maintained during peak hours in other Metro stretches soon after the signalling works up to HiTec City are completed.
Traffic cops were reported as saying that the diversions would be back soon to facilitate metro construction works between HiTec City station and Raidurg station (Mindspace).
The Hyderabad Metro Rail currently sees daily commute of two lakh passengers. Stations like LB Nagar, Miyapur and Ameerpet interchange station seeing the highest footfalls every day, said Metro Rail officials, as reported by TOI.
