Swiss maestro and tennis legend Roger Federer scripted a fairy tale today in Melbourne in the finals of the Australian Open. Seeded 17th and pitted against old nemesis Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer came out victorious. In a five set game, Federer beat ‘Rafa’ 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
This win (18th Grand Slam) puts Federer 3 Grand Slams clear of Pete Sampras who is next on the list of most Grand Slams win for men with 14. Nadal too has 14 Grand Slams to his credit and is followed on the list by Novak Djokovic who has 12 Grand Slam wins.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
