MMRC And Cityflo Unveil Feeder Bus Network To Seamlessly Connect Mumbai Metro Line 3 With Key City Hubs

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has joined hands with mobility platform Cityflo to introduce dedicated feeder bus services for commuters using the newly launched Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line.

The service will initially cover three major metro stations — Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). At BKC, the feeder route will pass through prominent landmarks including NSE, Jio Garden, One BKC, and the Family Court, Indian Express reported.

The initiative seeks to bridge crucial first and last mile gaps, ensuring smoother travel between metro stations and key business as well as residential areas.

In Worli, commuters will have access to stops near Century Mills, One Indiabulls Centre, Kamala Mills, and Peninsula Corporate Park. The CSMT route, meanwhile, will connect to Old Custom House, Lions Gate, SP Mukherjee Chowk, KC College, and Churchgate Metro Station.

Buses will operate every 10 minutes during peak hours, ensuring minimal waiting time for passengers. The fare has been kept affordable, beginning at Rs 29 per ride, with a monthly pass option priced at Rs 499 for regular users.

Ticketing and route details have been integrated into the Cityflo and MetroConnect3 mobile apps, allowing for a seamless, cashless commuting experience.

“Metro Line 3 marks a new era in Mumbai’s public transport. To ensure seamless travel, it’s essential that commuters have reliable first and last mile options. The Cityflo feeder service extends the comfort and efficiency of the metro right to people’s doorsteps,” R Ramana, director (planning & real estate development/NFBR), MMRC was quoted as saying.

Cityflo CEO Jerin Venad noted, “We’re proud to partner with MMRC in building an integrated mobility ecosystem for Mumbai. These feeder routes are a step toward encouraging citizens to choose sustainable, shared, and tech-enabled modes of travel.”
