Budget 2023: Aadhaar Foundational Identity, Along With Digi Locker Services Will Form 'One-Stop Solution For Identity And Address Updating'

Aadhaar is the foundational identity for government purposes, implied Finance Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget speech. The same would be used to streamline updating the details of a person that are maintained and required by various agencies.

"A one-stop solution for the reconciliation and updating of identity, and address of individuals, maintained by various government agencies, regulators, and regulated entities will be established using digi-locker services and Aadhaar as foundational identity."
