The Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has urged students and parents not to believe social media posts claiming that the board officials have confirmed the result date of the Class X, XII board exams, Indian Express has reported.
The Chairman Anita Karnwal has dismissed social media posts which claim quoting board officials that the results would be declared in the second week of May between 8 to 15 May.
She also appealed to media houses to stop speculating on the result dates and as the evaluation is still going on, it is too early to announce the result dates. She also added that board officials have been instructed not to talk to the media.
As per the Chairman, the result declaration date would be conveyed to the media houses a day before their declaration and said that as things stand, they may be declared in the third week of May.
This year CBSE has also launched a mobile app to help students monitor the examination process. The exam centre locator (ECL) app helps students and teachers to locate centres and the Siksha Vani app contains weekly podcasts with special training audio to monitor the evaluation process.

Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
