The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that it has decided to waive off the delay condonation fee or late fee for all application forms dated between 1 April and 30 June, which are required to be submitted online.
Hence any application form with a transaction date between 1 April and 30 June would incur no penalty from ICAI.
As per the official notification, this has been done amidst ICAI’s migration to the new digital self-service portal (SSP) for Chartered Accountants (CA) and aspiring CAs. Currently the platform is being stabilised and would begin operations in full flow in the next few days.
As reported earlier, this new portal has been designed to make transactions easier and more user friendly. Despite the disruption, services like membership renewal, online fee payments and new student registration for foundation courses and direct entry would remain available.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
