Former first daughter of America, Chelsea Clinton, whose next book reportedly features women "who didn't take no for an answer" had no for an answer to most questions in an interview with Rebecca Shabad of CBS News yesterday (4 April).
Quizzed about the possibilities of her mother, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, running for public office again, she nodded in denial though not entirely. “Oh, I have no idea. I don’t think so," she said adding that her mother's focus at present was on her books and her grandchildren.
"She’s focused on what she can do to help support work that she’s been engaged in for longer than I’ve been alive, around children, around women, around families,” she explained during this interview on “CBS This Morning".
Did Russia meddle in the 2016 U.S elections? What are her thoughts about the investigations into the same? Did Russia's alleged interventions have anything to with her mother's loss?
“I think we don’t yet know the answer to anything around Russia and I think we all deserve those answers,” is all she said.
On being asked if America will see the young lady step into her mother's shoes and run for office anytime?
“No, no, no,” she told CBS News. “I’m definitely not the right person to run to defeat [President Trump] in 2020. Right now, the answer is no, but I think we all need to be asking ourselves that question periodically,” she reiterated, adding that in order to run, you have to have a clear vision of what you would do in any given job and have a clear sense of whether you’re the best person for that job.
