Representative Image (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images)A 34-year-old Chinese national was arrested on Saturday (16 March) for flying a drone over the Eastern Command of Indian Army in Kolkata, West Bengal, reports News Nation.
The person, identified as Li Zhewei, was first spotted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and later handed over to the Kolkata police. He was sent to police custody till 25 March.
According to the News Nation report, India had earlier downed several Pakistani unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones near the international border of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
