Chinese National Flies Drone Over Eastern Army Command In Kolkata, Arrested, Remanded In Police Custody

A 34-year-old Chinese national was arrested on Saturday (16 March) for flying a drone over the Eastern Command of Indian Army in Kolkata, West Bengal, reports News Nation.
The person, identified as Li Zhewei, was first spotted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and later handed over to the Kolkata police. He was sent to police custody till 25 March.

According to the News Nation report, India had earlier downed several Pakistani unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones near the international border of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Following the Indian Air Force’s strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist camps in Balakot inside Pakistani territory, the IAF has put all defence systems on alert to deal with intruders along the international border and Line of Control (LoC).
