Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son and Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday (21 November) declared his family’s assets at a press conference in Amaravathi.
There, Lokesh reported Naidu’s total assets at Rs 2.99 crore and that of his son Nara Devaansh as Rs 18.71 crore, The Hindu has reported. These figures if taken on face value lead to the conclusion that Naidu’s grandson is almost six times richer than him.
The report claims that Devaansh grew richer by over Rs 7 crore this year with his assets touching Rs 18.71 crore compared to Rs 11.54 crore last year.
According to the report, Naidu’s asset value rose by Rs 46 lakh year-on-year and his debt in contrast reduced to Rs 5.31 crore from Rs 5.64 crore. Bhuvaneswari, the wife of Naidu is seemingly the wealthiest family member with a worth of Rs 31.01 crore.
Lokesh’s wife, Brahmani’s assets, declined to Rs 7.72 crore from Rs 15.01 crore last year while her liabilities increased from Rs. 36.14 lakh to Rs 5.66 crore.
