Qazi Ahmed YasirA Muslim cleric was recently caught in a scandalous video where he was seen masturbating on camera while he was talking to his mistress. Times of India reported the cleric’s family alleging that the Indian establishment is doing this to him since he is fighting for a separate state of Kashmir.
The cleric, Qazi Ahmed Yasir, belonging to south Kashmir was immediately sacked from Islamic Research Institute (Idaar-e-Tehqeeqat) as head priest (Mirwaiz), The Citizen reported.
He is said to have known the woman since 2016, but after the relationship ended, she shared the video with a local businessman, Early Times Jammu reported.
His brother Shubli has been quoted by Kashmir Life as saying, “We don’t even know who is behind it, and with what intentions. We have no idea about his political affiliations or his supporters. But we have launched legal proceedings against those who are behind this and are hopeful that the investigations won’t let us down.”
On 7 October, Yasir had called the residents in South Kashmir to vote in a referendum for freedom from India, The Kashmir Walla reported.
