The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two more terror operatives for their role in the Coimbatore bomb blast case.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sanofar Ali and Sheikh Hidayathullah. Prior to this the NIA had taken nine people into its custody. All of them are lodged at the Puzhal prison in Chennai.
According to the NIA, they had met in the Asanoor and Kadambur areas of Sathymangalam forest in Erode district this February, to plan and execute terror attacks. These meetings were led by Umar Faaruq and attended by the deceased Jameesha Mubeen, Sanofar Ali and Sheikh Hidayathullah, among others.
The arrests come few days after the NIA had brought five of the accused to Coimbatore to help in field searches across the city.
