Complete Lockdown In Nagpur City From 15 March Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases In Maharashtra

Nagpur Guardian Minister Nitin Raut said that complete lockdown will be imposed in Nagpur City Police Commissionerate area from 15 to 21 March, reports Financial Express.
He also mentioned that in the lockdown, the essential services like milk, vegetable, and fruit shops will continue.
Reportedly, in the last 24 hours, around 1710 cases of coronavirus infection and eight deaths were reported from Nagpur. According to officials, a total of 10,458 samples were examined.
The decision regarding the lockdown was taken during a meeting at the Divisional Commissioner’s office.
According to the order issued by the Nagpur district administration, Malls and weekly markets; public functions and weddings will not be allowed. The restaurants can remain open only up to 9 pm but can provide home delivery up to 10 pm.
Emergency services and medical stores will be allowed to function as normal during the lockdown.
Other than Nagpur, Thane has also been put under lockdown at 16 hotspots. The lockdown will be in place till March 31.
