Coronavirus In India: 9,985 New Cases Raise Covid-19 Tally To Over 2.76 Lakh; Here's The Latest State-Wise Breakup

With a spike of 9,985 new cases in the last 24 hours, India's total case count of coronavirus jumped to 276,583, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Wednesday (10 June).

According to the Health Ministry, of the total, 133,632 are active cases while at least 135,206 people have been cured of the disease.

It is for the time that the number of cured patients has surged past the active cases.

At least 279 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatality count to 7,466.

Maharashtra, which has emerged as the worst Coronavirus-hit state in the country, has so far recorded 90,787 cases, including 3,289 fatalities, and 42,638 recoveries. Tamil Nadu followed with 34,914 cases. The Covid-19 tally in Delhi has crossed the 31,000-mark with as many as 31,309 cases recorded so far in the national capital. Gujarat has reported 21,014 cases so far.

States with most casualties after Maharashtra are Gujarat (1,313), Delhi (905), Madhya Pradesh (420), and West Bengal (415).

States with more than 8,000 cases are Uttar Pradesh (11,335), Rajasthan (11,245) and Madhya Pradesh (9,849) and West Bengal (8,985).

Among other states/UTs where Corona cases have surged past 2,000-mark are Karnataka (5,921), Bihar (5,459), Haryana (5,209), Andhra Pradesh (5,070), Jammu and Kashmir (4,346), Telangana (3,920), Odisha (3,140), Assam (2,937), Punjab (2,719) and Kerala (2,096).

According to the Health Ministry, 9,227 cases are being re-assigned to states.
