Coronavirus Update: India’s Covid-19 Tally Mounts To 37,336; Here’s The Latest State-Wise Breakup

The total number of people confirmed positive for the coronavirus in India has increased to 37,336 while 1,218 deaths were reported across the country, as per the latest data updated at 8 am today (1 May) by the Health Ministry.
According to the Health Ministry data, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 include 37,225 Indians and 111 foreign nationals.
Additionally, the total number of discharged/cured patients has risen to 9,950, while one patient has reportedly migrated to Singapore as per the latest data.
The total number of active cases across the country stands at 26,167 at the time of writing this report.
Here’s the latest state-wise breakup:
With 11,506 Covid-19 positive cases and 485 deaths, Maharashtra is the worst affected state in the country. Gujarat has the second-highest number of Covid-19 cases in the country with 4,721 infections. Delhi has 3,738 cases, followed by Madhya Pradesh’s 2,719.
