Coronavirus Update: Maharashtra Reports 26 New Cases; Total State Tally Rises To 661

With 26 more people testing positive with Novel Coronavirus, the total number of infected cases in Maharashtra rose up to 661 on Sunday (5 April), news agency ANI reported quoting Maharashtra Health Department.
There were 635 total confirmed cases in the state until Saturday night.
Of these 26 new cases, 17 emerged from Pune, four from Pimpri Chinchwad, while three and two cases each were reported in Ahmednagar and Aurangabad, a health department official said in a Livemint reported.
At least two persons suspected to have died due to Covid-19 in Pune and Thane on Sunday, but health authorities declined to confirm or share details.
Until Saturday, Maharashtra recorded a total of 32 Covid-19 deaths, including several women, with a maximum 22 deaths from Mumbai only.
