Coronavirus Update: With 5,611 New Cases, India’s Covid-19 Tally Rises To 106,750; Here’s The Latest State-Wise Breakup

With 5,611 new cases in last 24 hours, India's total case count of coronavirus jumped to 106,750, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Wednesday (20 May).
According to the Health Ministry, of the total, 61,149 are active cases while at least 42,298 people have been cured of the disease.
At least 140 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatality count to 3,303.
In Maharashtra, the Covid-19 cases climbed to 37,136, followed by Tamil Nadu which has 12,448 cases, and Gujarat with 12,140 cases so far.
Maharashtra has also reported the highest number of deaths, 1,325, followed by 719 in Gujarat and 258 in Madhya Pradesh.
The Covid-19 cases in Delhi have increased to 10,554, according to the Health Ministry data.
States which have reported more than 4000 cases are Rajasthan (5,845), Madhya Pradesh (5,465), and Uttar Pradesh (4,926).
