In a 1,000 member survey conducted by research company, Toluna, Facebook heads the list of companies that the least number of people trusted, reports Tribune India.
The damage a series of information leaks and scandals have done to the world’s largest social media company is visible in the survey, where 40 per cent of participants said they trusted Facebook the least with their personal information.
The people’s lack of trust in Facebook is the largest with its nearest rivals being Twitter and Amazon, tied in the second position with eight per cent each.
Uber came next with seven per cent user citing lack of trust, followed by six per cent for Google.
Microsoft and Apple were better off, with Apple having four per cent and Microsoft having two per cent of users expressing lack of trust with their personal information.
The most trusted companies on the list were Netflix and Tesla with just one per cent of the survey subjects showing lack of trust in each of the two companies.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
