Reacting to an alleged BJP circular that urged its cadre to move to Sabarimala, the state secretary of the ruling party CPM, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has issued a counter-narrative alleging the RSS activists acting like Khalistan terrorists, reports Malayala Manorama.
“The RSS agenda is evident. They want to take over Sabarimala. This strategy is similar to the one employed by Khalistan terrorists,” said Kodiyeri. “At first they (Khalistan terrorists) took over the Golden Temple” he added, suggesting that the RSS is taking over Sabarimala.
He took a dig at the women devotees who were taking part in chanting protests and alleged them to be human shield used by the RSS. He said that they (RSS) are using tactics similar to terrorists by employing women and children as a human shield.
He also justified police action saying that they were performing their duty and alleged RSS of petrifying the police.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan slammed the people gathered in Sannidhanam, said that they are RSS activists creating trouble at the temple. Many reports from Kerala has suggested that the protests at Sabarimala were leaderless and aimed at inadequate facilities and excessive police control at the temple.
Reports suggest that excessive police control has created inconvenience for the devotees and Kerala High Court observed orally that the police is harassing them. The court has also sought the rationale behind excessive police control.
