Representative image.A court in Dubai has charged a 35-year-old Pakistani national for allegedly molesting a minor Indian girl when he had entered a residential building to deliver a package, reports PTI.
The initial investigation has revealed that the 12-year-old girl had gone back to her home from her tutor’s house to get some material she had forgotten; she then encountered the delivery man in the elevator who proceeded to touch her inappropriately as he inquired about an address.
The tutor has given testimony that the girl was in tears when she came back to her place after the said incident.
CCTV footage which was procured by authorities from security also seemed to corroborate the chain of events narrated by the victim; the video feed showed the Pakistani man going up till the fifth floor with the package, but suddenly changing his direction to walk after the girl.
The accused is in currently in custody and his sentencing will take place on 5 September.
