‘Enough Is Enough’: CJI Gogoi Say Today Will Be Last Day Of Ram Mandir Hearing, Sunni Wakf Board May Withdraw Case

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi on Wednesday (16 October) made it clear that the hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi case would be over.
As quoted by Live Law journalist Prabhati Mishra the CJI said, “By 5 pm, this matter is going to be over. We will rise at 5 pm. Enough is enough”.
The CJI also abundantly made it clear that the apex court would allow no intervention in the matter. Today is the 40th day of the Ram Janmabhoomi hearing the the Supreme Court.
As per CNN News18 journalist Marya Shakil, the Sunni Wakf board is set to withdraw its case from the SC, but the question remains whether it will be allowed by the apex court at this stage.
As per reports, the verdict in the Ram Mandir case is expected before 17 November, that is the retirement date of CJI Gogoi. In line of the impending verdict, section 144 has been imposed in Ayodhya till 10 December.
