Paying his respects to the founder of Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray on his seventh death anniversary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Devendra Fadnavis took a jibe at the incumbent leadership of the Shiv Sena and tweeted, "Balasaheb taught us the importance of self-respect," reports Financial Express.

The tweet from Fadnavis comes at a time when Shiv Sena under the leadership of Balasaheb Thackeray's son Uddhav Thackeray is involved in talks with long-term political rivals Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress to form a non-BJP Government in the State of Maharashtra.
The Shiv Sena has pulled its senior leader Arvind Sawant from Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi led Union Government and has decided to not participate in the meeting of members of the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) today (17 November), hinting at exiting the alliance.
Giving an inkling of the same, senior leader of the Shiv Sena, Sanjay Raut said earlier today that severing the ties with the NDA remains only a formality now. Raut also said that its leaders in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will also be sitting along the opposition from now on.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
