US President Donald Trump, following his visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra will stay the night at the Chanakya Grand Presidential Suite in New Delhi’s ITC Maurya.
This suite which costs a whopping Rs 8 lakh per day, covers an area of almost 4,800 square feet and comes with its own living room, dining, reception area, a study and a gymnasium. It also plays host to a private business courtyard and summit lounge.
Present at the fourteenth floor of the five star hotel, this suite has in the past played host to former US presidents like Bill Clinton, George Bush and Barack Obama.
The suite boasts of silk panelled walls, dark wood flooring and magnificent artwork. Here are a few pictures of the suite.
As the room caters to VVIP guests and heads of state, it comes equipped with bullet proof glasses, an independent security room, a private high speed elevator and a presidential boulevard, microbiological laboratory for food testing and options to cordon off the area.
During his stay Trump will be provided with his own private chef and like his predecessors may choose to enjoy the tandoori cuisine offered by the hotel.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
