India "Absolutely" On Elon Musk's Radar, As New Tesla Factory Location Likely By Year End

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said on Tuesday (24 May) that they will likely choose a site for their new factory by the end of 2023.

Musk said India is "absolutely" interesting when a Wall Street Journal reporter asked about the country.

Only last week, India's Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology told Reuters that Tesla is determined ("serious") to set up a manufacturing base in the country.

Earlier this year, Tesla revealed plans to establish a gigafactory in Mexico to increase worldwide output, solidifying its position as the top automaker.
