Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Saturday said the country’s new education policy was going to be based on Vedic knowlegde-science as per the vision of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Hindustan Times reported.
The minister was speaking after virtually inaugurating three-day national webinar titled ‘Covid-19: The Mahamana’s Indian vision in global context’ organised by Mahamana Malaviya Mission, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.
“The whole world is looking towards India. At present, the ideas of Mahamana are certainly very important for us. Our cultural heritage is our strength. Based on the vision of Mahamana, we will bring a new education policy that will be based on Vedic knowledge and science. It will come true to Mahamana’s vision and meet his expectations. Ancient knowledge should become part of every discipline,” Pokhariyal said.
“We need to act with solidarity in tough times to win the fight against the Covid-19,” he added.
At least 2,000 participants attended the webinar virtually.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
