An Indian Army jawan has been martyred following injuries during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector. Krishna Ghati, along the Line of Control in the Poonch district, has felt the brunt of numerous ceasefire violations by Pakistan across the years.

Another such violation along the international border in Kathua district on Wednesday (6 November) had damaged homes and injured cattle, as reported by India Today.

Pakistan has violated the 2003 ceasefire agreement over 2,000 times in 2019 alone leading to the deaths of 21 Indians as per a Ministry of External Affairs statement. The violations are usually cover to terrorists - propped up by the Pakistani military establishment, seeking to infiltrate into India.
