In a gruesome incident in Jharkhand’s Kunti district, unidentified gunmen shot dead a BJP leader, Mago Munda, along with his wife and son while they sitting close to their home in Hethguha village, reports News18.
The attack took place at about 8.30 pm in the night on Monday (22 July).
One more woman belonging to the family was injured in the attack but survived; she is currently recovering at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi.
Munda was a well known political leader from the state’s tribal community and was also part of the BJP’s Scheduled Tribe Executive Committee. Authorities are currently investigating the matter and trying to find out who carried out the attack.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
